Located in the heart of Chalmers University of Technology’s Johanneberg campus, the Chalmers Conference Centre is one of Gothenburg’s leading venues for academic conferences, seminars and professional events.
The facility combines modern conference spaces with the university’s long tradition of research and innovation, creating an inspiring environment for knowledge exchange. In addition to large auditoriums, the centre offers meeting rooms, exhibition areas and catering services, allowing participants to move easily between presentations, networking activities and social events throughout the conference.

Main Auditorium
The keynote presentations, technical sessions and panel discussions of UTES 2026 will take place in the main auditorium of the Chalmers Conference Centre.
Known as RunAn, the auditorium is the largest lecture and event hall at Chalmers, with seating for more than 450 attendees. Opened in 2001, the venue was designed to host conferences, lectures and large university events, offering excellent acoustics, professional audiovisual systems and clear sightlines from every seat.
Over the years, the auditorium has welcomed thousands of researchers, students and industry professionals attending conferences, presentations and public events.
Volvo Foyer Exhibition Area
Directly outside the auditorium, the spacious “Volvo Foyer” will serve as the main gathering area for UTES 2026. Main exhibition floor, informal discussions and networking activities will take place here throughout the conference programe.
The open layout provides ample space for sponsor exhibitions, poster presentations and demonstrations, allowing attendees to connect with researchers, industry partners and fellow participants between sessions.
Located adjacent to the auditorium, the foyer creates a natural meeting point where conversations can continue beyond the presentation hall and new collaborations can begin
The layout enables continuous interaction between the technical programme and the exhibition throughout the symposium. The Volvo Foyer is designed to accommodate exhibitions and large conference events.

Getting to the venue
The Chalmers campus is well connected to Gothenburg city centre and can be reached using several forms of transport.
Public transport
Trams and buses connect Chalmers with Gothenburg Central Station, Korsvägen, Brunnsparken and other central locations. Use the Västtrafik travel planner for current routes and departure times.

Göteborg Landvetter Airport is connected to central Gothenburg by airport coach and taxi. From the city centre, continue to the Chalmers campus by tram, bus or taxi.
Taxi and car
Taxis can stop close to the main entrance. Visitors arriving by car should check available public parking facilities near the Chalmers campus before departure.
